Education: About

Our Commitment to Education

The importance of exposure to music has been demonstrated in studies
regarding the "Mozart Effect," indicating that music increases focus and can improve spatial-temporal reasoning skills and performance in mathematics.

At Opera Memphis, we offer a variety of educational programs designed
to encourage childhood interest in music.  In 2007-2008, our education and outreach programs reached more than 23,000 children and their families.  Your support makes our education programs possible.

Our education programs include:

A.I.R. Touring shows
  - Jack & the Beanstalk
  - Operatizer

Black Roots of Opera

ACT Songwriting Program

Junior Opera Camp

Senior Opera Camp

Grace House Partnership
