Our 2016-17 Artists in Residence
Opera Memphis' Artist-in-Residence program is established in partnership with the University of Memphis Artist Diploma Program.
Dylan attended the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music from 2008-2013, where he completed a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance and a Bachelor of Arts degree in German. Dylan received the Paul Hollinger Award for Music History, graduated magna cum laude, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Kappa Lambda. At Lawrence, Dylan directed productions of Trouble in Tahiti, The Light in the Piazza, and The Old Maid and the Thief. He also assistant directed Albert Herring, directed by Nicola Bowie. After graduating Lawrence, Dylan began working as an assistant director for Chicago Opera Theater, where credits include Macbeth, The Emperor of Atlantis, and Verdi’s Giovanna d’Arco. Dylan also works with the Chicago Opera Theater Young Artist Program and the Graduate Voice Program at Chicago College of Performing Arts, assistant directing and choreographing operas. He is currently working on a triple bill, including Hin und Zurück, Mahagonny Songspiel, and La bella dormente nel bosco. Dylan is a member of AGMA.
