Most recently, he performed as a featured role with the Houston Grand Opera’s staging of Carousel under the direction of Broadway-acclaimed and Tony award-winning director Rob Ashford as well as musically directed by Richard Bado. Other credits with the Houston Grand Opera include Tosca and Eugene Onegin. During his time in Houston he also received his Masters of Music with the University of Houston Moores School of Music performing the roles of Hoffmann in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Tamino in The Magic Flute, and world-premiered original music for the role of Walter Engleman in Thomas Pasatieri’s Frau Margot.
Chris received his Bachelors of Music from Loyola University New Orleans performing the roles of Fredric in Pirates of Penzance and Sam in Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah. He has also received additional training through the Canadian Vocal Arts Institute as a performing artist for Le Domaine Forget International Festival.
Chris also finds other passions in musical theatre, computer building, and weightlifting. In 2009, he earned the Louisiana State title in powerlifting in his weight class. Chris is excited to continue his journey here in Memphis with his loving and supportive partner Kaleb.
