Step into the spotlight with Summer Opera Intensive, an immersive two-week performing arts experience designed for students in grades 7–12!
About the Program
This unique collaboration between Opera Memphis and the University of Memphis gives young performers the opportunity to train with experienced professionals in a supportive, collegiate-level environment.
Participants will engage in vocal coachings and staging sessions, strengthening their vocal technique, artistry, and stage presence. A variety of interactive workshops will explore key aspects of performance production, offering students valuable insight into both onstage and behind-the-scenes elements of bringing a show to life.
Roles and Performances
The two-week rehearsal process culminates in one fully staged performance featuring various opera scenes, giving students the unforgettable experience of performing for a live audience.
