Rossini’s beloved comedy returns in a production conducted by Jonathan King and directed by Ned Canty at the Scheidt Family Performing Arts Center. The cast features Philip Himebook as Count Almaviva, Perri DiChristina as Rosina, Jake Stamatis as the scheming Figaro, Kevin Burdette as the hapless Bartolo, and Matthew Burns as Basilio. Sung in Italian with English and Spanish surtitles, and preceded by a pre-show talk at 6:30 PM both evenings, the production reflects Opera Memphis’s commitment to making the repertoire fully accessible to Memphis audiences.
